There is no real comparison between the streets of Night City and Midtown Detroit’s 2nd street at night. There is no real comparison because the latter was built up over time by renters and students and the former was designed by a team in Poland. There is no real comparison, in my mind, between the aesthetic experience of walking through either of the places either.

Pulling out of the driveway of my parents’ house in Saint Clair Shores, I fell back into the muscle memory of spinning around on the parking pad and navigating the suburban streets as if I hadn’t been away from driving and the area for the past 3 years.

A brief foray into writing about music, the first in the series.

It has been about a year since I last played the biggest American tabletop game. In that time, I played other games, got back into Bloodborne, entered in to Wayne State’s English Ph.D. program, and watched way more movies that I have since I took a class entirely based on vampire films.
